| 英文描述 | A syndrome of multifocal cutaneous erythema, ulceration, and distal limb edema has been recognized in greyhounds since at least 1985. Most dogs were affected at racing age. There is usually azotemia. Skin lesions are characterized by hemorrhages, fibrinoid ateritis, thrombosis, and infarction with deep, slowly healing ulcers. In affected kidneys there was peracute renal glomerular necrosis with intravascular coagulation in glomerular capillaries. Skin lesion usually begins as a swelling on the hind or fore limb which ulcerates as it enlarges. Although most dogs had skin lesions only, there can be a mix of other signs with the skin signs, and occasionally azotemia will occur before ulceration. The cause is unknown, but an inherited predisposition to an infectious agent is suspected. A similar condition was described in a great dane. |
